Always Amazing Palau

“Palau is by far one of the most memorable experience you’ll have.” This was one of the first things Ocean Enterprises Trip Leader Rocio Gajon said upon returning from her third trip to Palau this past November.

Rocio has had the incredible opportunity to dive all over the world in such places as Belize, the Bahamas, Italy, Mexico, Cuba, Hawaii and many other places, yet this is her third time to Palau and she is ready to go back!

Rocio, along with another Ocean Enterprises trip leader Jeff Bunker took sixteen very excited divers to visit arguably one of the best diving locations in the world. These divers had the luxury of staying at the Palau Pacific Resort, the only resort in Palau featuring a private beach with snorkeling just a short walk from your room.

Palau diving is world renowned for it’s abundance of large pelagics such as schools of sharks, and a lot of manta rays. Just ask Rocio – “Diving gets progressively better and better; sharks, turtles, napolean wrasses, mantas, and schools of fish dance endlessly above immense formations of coral all before your eyes.”

One traveler, Holly got to enjoy Palau this time around along with her daughter Lorissa. Here is what she had to say:

“I just wanted to tell you what a fabulous time we had on our trip. Lorissa and I still can’t stop talking about the new experience of reef hooking and drift diving!! What an impression it left. We’re so proud to have received our Drift Diver specialty on our trip with you and Jeff. Count us in for future travel!”

With many many trips to Palau by the Ocean Enterprises Travel team, we have done our due diligence on research of where to stay, what dive operations to work with, etc. Currently, we work with Fish N’ Fins as our dive operation and it has been working out wonderfully! “Fish N’ Fins picks you up right at the dock and pretty soon you are on a fast boat cruising through the archipelago, and amazing rock formations and lagoons greet you as you pass by”, according to Rocio.

Some of the dive sites that this group of travelers got to experience this time around were the German Channel, Siaes Tunnel, Blue Hole, Blue Corner, and endless wrecks.

And according to a lot of people who have been to Palau, a “must see” is Jellyfish Lake. Jellyfish Lake is a marine lake boasting millions of golden jellyfish where you can freely snorkel and enjoy the tranquility. “Jellyfish lake…there is nothing like it” says Rocio.
