The Philippines stretches across more than 7,600 islands in the western Pacific, and its waters lie within the Coral Triangle, the global center of marine biodiversity. Few countries offer such a range of diving: colorful macro life and critter diving around Anilao and Dauin, thresher sharks at Malapascua, turtles and the famous sardine shoals of Moalboal, and the remote, pristine reefs of Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site reachable only by liveaboard.
Above the water, the islands offer white-sand beaches, dramatic limestone landscapes such as those of Palawan, and the warm hospitality Filipinos are known for. Stays range from relaxed dive resorts to luxury island retreats, and many trips combine time at a resort with a few days on a liveaboard.
The main dry season generally runs from about November to May, and the Tubbataha liveaboard season is limited to roughly mid-March to mid-June each year. Talk to us about the best timing for the experiences you have in mind.
