Venture off of southern Thailand’s peninsula to the famed dive areas in the Andaman Sea. Best accessed by liveaboard, the Similan Islands and Burma Banks offer world-class diving in protected waters where colorful reefs and dramatic underwater landscapes harbor a plethora of marine life including rare and exotic marine life. Ghost pipefish, ribbon eels and nudibranchs are some of the smaller species found throughout the area. Whales sharks have been seen in numbers at Richelieu Rock while leopard sharks can be found at Ko Tachai. The Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar (Burma) to the north of the Andaman Sea has also become a popular area for dive live-aboards to explore.
